Plug-in Hybrid Technology

The MG HS PHEV matches cutting-edge Li-Ion battery technology with an equally advanced hybrid powertrain to deliver trusted performance for a smart drive. The Intelligent Hybrid Energy Management System is the key to the HS PHEV’s smooth and refined daily driving experience. The sophisticated control system monitors and adjusts the vehicle’s power output in real time to compensate for prevailing road conditions. The system also actively learns the driver’s individual driving style, balancing power requirements and battery management to further improve fuel efficiency and ensuring optimal use of the electric range.

INTERIOR

EXTERIOR

The most noticeable feature at the front is the stellar field grille that perfectly frames the largest MG logo yet. The rear is even classier with twin tailpipes and an aluminum lower bumper with a sporty finish.

The large 18” new aluminum alloy wheels are bound to turn heads on the road and the Matrix headlights and 3D rear lights are a statement themselves. Providing sleek and stylish accents at each corner of the car, the 3D headlights offer enhanced visibility for clearer and safer turning.

MG PILOT

When it comes to safety, all the latest safety technology has been incorporated in the MG HS PHEV into a single platform called MG PILOT. With its Active Driver Safety features as standard, MG Pilot is constantly sensing your surroundings, on the lookout for unseen hazards. With the ability to react autonomously in situations where driver safety is at risk, take comfort that you and your family are backed by a new level in safety intelligence.

These features include:

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

Adaptive Cruise Control uses smart technology to detect what’s in front of you. It will then change your speed depending on the current situation. For example, if the roads are clear then you are set on a steady course, but if a car in front begins to slow down, then it will use the brakes to gently reduce speed. This helps to prevent any collisions.

Intelligent High Beam Control (IHBC)

Taking your hands off the steering wheel to adapt your headlights can be a hazard. That’s why we’ve automated them. During auto position, the high beam automatically switches to low beam when it detects a car ahead. This prevents blinding the driver with a bright light, which is especially dangerous at night.

Blind Spot Detection (BSD)

Blind spots are dangerous for any driver because the hazards are not perceivable to the human eye. That’s where blind spot detection comes in. It detects vehicles approaching the blind spots at the left and right rear of the vehicle and alerts the driver through a visible signal.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

Everyone can agree that parking is a nightmare, but Rear Cross Traffic Alert makes it a little easier. It alerts the driver to any vehicle approaching them from either side when reversing so that they know when to reverse safely to prevent any collisions.

Traffic Jam Assist (TJA)

With our Traffic Jam Assist technology, your vehicle can come to a stop and then accelerate again by itself when it detects a traffic jam. It does this by monitoring the car in front and automatically following its pattern.

Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)

Using a camera, the vehicle can see the road markings ahead and detect when a driver may be departing from them. It sends a visual, audible and physical signal to correct their position and get the car back on track.

Lane Keep Assist (LKA)

Lane Keep Assist goes one step further than the Lane Departure Warning and actually corrects the driver’s position for them. By taking control of the wheel it adjusts the vehicle’s position to keep it within the lane markings.

Lane Change Assist (LCA)

Changing lane always requires concentration to ensure you have enough space to gently maneuver your vehicle. However blind spots can prevent the driver from having a clear idea of when it is safe to move. The Lane Change Assist provides an additional, visible signal alongside the Blind Spot Monitoring to alert the driver to a potential hazard.

Door Open Warning (DOW)

Warns you of danger when opening vehicles doors

Automatic Emergency Braking

AEB is a system that automatically applies the brakes when it detects an imminent collision, reducing the severity of a crash or preventing it altogether.

Intelligent Speed Assistance

ISA helps drivers stay within the speed limits by providing alerts or automatically limiting the vehicle’s speed when necessary.
